The Stuyvesant E.CO approach to processing soils and sediments emphasizes the "integration" the work activities of all of the performing parties. This includes the customer, the regulatory agencies, local stakeholders and the contractors performing the various aspects of the work. In a sediment project, this includes among others, the general contractor, the dredging contractor, and the processing contractor.

While a necessary hierarchy is established contractually, Stuyvesant E.CO operates on the foundation that the performing parties must act as a team. The team works together to establish project approaches and operational details within the constraints of legal and regulatory boundaries. At the practical level, this means that the excavation/dredging of materials, the delivery to the processing plant, the product management, water management, and other such details must be seamlessly and cooperatively coordinated.

Stuyvesant E.CO is very experienced in this integrated approach. The integrated approach has recently been implemented at the Miami River project and on the Fox River Cleanup project.
